Overview

The Civil Aviation and Safety Authority is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to assist with ongoign work within a Project

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager Business Solutions and/or Section Head of Development Operations the specified personnel must undertake the following tasks:

  1. Analyse legacy business systems to ensure current documentation is up to date.
  2. Record Epics, Features and User Stories in Azure DevOps to document functional and non-functional requirements of legacy systems.
  3. Assist the Solution Architect and Systems Analyst in the documentation of legacy systems and processes.
  4. Work with the BAU applications team on analyzing current sprint work.
  5. Assist in developing business relationships through stakeholder management for successful implementation of IT changes.
  6. Work to deadlines, monitor and report progress.
  7. Work co-operatively and collaboratively with the (ITB) team, as well as other stakeholders within CASA.
  8. Support and participate in system and user acceptance testing activities
  9. Review test plans for completeness against specifications/requirements
  10. Review detailed design documents to identify unimplemented requirements
  11. k) Other related tasks as requested by the Manager Business Solutions and/or Section Head Development Operations.

Essential Criteria

  1. Proven background with problem solving, analytical and critical thinking and working as part of a multidisciplinary team and experience with agile practices and digital delivery
  2. Strong stakeholder management skills including the ability to build and maintain relationships, interpersonal skills and excellent written, documentation and communication skills
  3. Demonstrated experience in business and/or system analysis in an IT environment.
  4. Well-developed analytical skills including problem solving.
  5. Demonstrated experience and skills in leading and facilitating workshops with various stakeholders.
  6. 2 or more years’ experience as an analyst.

Desired Criteria

  1. Technical writing skills and experience in producing specifications and requirements for major projects and IT operations.
  2. Proficiency with Microsoft Visio or other design tools
  3. Proficiency with Job control systems such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
