The Biosecurity Operations Division of the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment requires a Business Analyst to work with policy and operational subject matter experts in the traveller pathway to develop functional business requirements. This body of work will include identification of medium to long term systematic solutions. This position will be the systems and process analyst working closely with business subject matter experts in Biosecurity Operations Division and Information Services Division in the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment. The work also includes close consultation with technical areas in the Department of Home Affairs. The body of work will provide the following deliverables: a)Detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for implementation of the department's future traveller reform solution. b)Investigate and advise on data integration and technical alignment with internal systems and externally with Department Home Affairs Systems (both hardware and software). c)High level set of requirements for expanding technological solutions, including benefits and close consultation with technical areas for costings. This will include investigation for expanding solutions across other activities for aircraft reporting, mail and seaports to maximise cost benefits. d)Detailed business requirements and system design for the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment for internal integration and external integration with other department systems.
