Overview and Responsibilities

CASA is seeking to fill multiple positions for a large Cloud Services initiative that will transform the way CASA develops and delivers services to its clients, both internal and external. Separated into two major tranches you’ll have the opportunity to work across several key Information Technology service delivery areas contributing to enhancing and implementing leading edge technologies as CASA transitions to a full Cloud Services offering over the next few years. You’ll be working on uplift and transition of existing ICT capabilities to align with CASA’s Cloud first approach and building and deploying of the new Cloud only environment will see you working across complex technical issues and contributing to the realisation of strategic outcomes as part of the program. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and have the ability to communicate effectively and manage relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including team members, product owners, project managers, and executives. You will also have experience working in both Agile and Waterfall projects and ideally have experience with to deliver design and research activities, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to exercise initiative and sound judgement as part of a large program of work. As part of the Digital Solutions team the .Net Developer will be one of the lead developers for a small team responsible for delivering integration solutions and strategic initiatives. The specified personnel will be responsible for the following deliverables: a)providing senior development expertise in Azure DevOps for the development, maintenance and security uplift of CASA’s application suite using the single page application framework with React technologies. b)developing technical documentation and architecture artefacts throughout the application development lifecycle. c)Improve application logging, performance and monitoring. d)Lead test driven development and review of unit tests. e)providing mentoring and guidance to other developers and applications support team. f)collaborating with other CASA business units including non-technical subject matter experts to ensure project and BAU deliverables are met in accordance with milestones. g)contributing to and providing high level strategic integration advice to Information Services Branch leadership team to support ICT Strategy. h)contributing and providing continuous improvement and identifying, evaluating and managing risk in the delivery of project outcomes. i)promoting workplace safety, equity and diversity and participative management and environmental management practices in the workplace and acting in accordance with CASA values and behaviours. Mandatory a)formal qualification in IT, computer science or related discipline or 5+ years’ equivalent demonstrated experience b)demonstrated experience in developing composite application with contemporary integration products using the Microsoft products stack, including, but not limited to Microsoft .NET Framework c)demonstrated experience in liaison and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders with good communication skills in written and verbal context d)demonstrated experience in working in multidisciplinary teams in a complex ICT environment e)demonstrated experience in application life cycle management and ITIL practices f)significant knowledge and understanding of current and emerging technologies, technology directions and strategic application to business needs Desirable experience a)experience in building and deploying applications via VSTS (Azure Dev Ops) b)experience in strategic planning and providing security, governance and management of ICT projects c)experience in working in Agile environments d)industry certification or current study towards certification in a relevant ICT field e)Strong commercial experience in React Native / React programming. Location Based in Aviation House, Phillip, ACT the Resource must work (on average) 8 hours per day (40 hours per week) between the core hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
