Overview and Responsibilities
CASA is seeking to fill multiple positions for a large Cloud Services initiative that will transform the way CASA develops and delivers services to its clients, both internal and external. Separated into two major tranches you’ll have the opportunity to work across several key Information Technology service delivery areas contributing to enhancing and implementing leading edge technologies as CASA transitions to a full Cloud Services offering over the next few years. You’ll be working on uplift and transition of existing ICT capabilities to align with CASA’s Cloud first approach and building and deploying of the new Cloud only environment will see you working across complex technical issues and contributing to the realisation of strategic outcomes as part of the program. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and have the ability to communicate effectively and manage relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including team members, product owners, project managers, and executives. You will also have experience working in both Agile and Waterfall projects and ideally have experience with to deliver design and research activities, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to exercise initiative and sound judgement as part of a large program of work. Reporting to the Section Manager Business Intelligence or data technical lead, the person must undertake the following tasks: a)As part of the data warehouse team, work with data from multiple sources but primarily on SQL enterprise data warehouse to produce datasets, dashboards and reporting visualisations to meet specific requirements and business needs. b)Development of ETL processes for Informatica PowerCenter and WhereScape Red to support the addition of priority datasets into the EDW. c)Provide advice on how to best leverage the data warehouse environment, including best practice on data warehouse design and cloud migration. d)Work to deadlines, monitor and report progress. e)Work co-operatively and collaboratively with the (ITB) team, as well as other stakeholders within CASA. Mandatory a)Demonstrated experience in design and development of ETL solutions using Informatica PowerCenter. b)Demonstrated experience in building ETL processes with the ability to read, analyse and transform data. c)Excellent understanding of data warehousing concepts, including data analysis, data profiling, data cleansing and data modelling. d)Demonstrated experience in monitor, run and troubleshoot the data load processes associated with data warehouse. e)Demonstrated high-level communication skills, including the ability to identify, manage and effectively liaise with all stakeholders including technical and non-technical audiences. f)Experience with analysis, design, development, and maintenance of Data Lake using ETL tools. Desirable a)Knowledge of Microsoft Azure technologies, WhereScape Red and SQL Server Integration Services. b)Experience in development of ETL standards and Metadata management. c)Experience in SQL Server and Oracle databases. d)SQL Scripting and software development capability: e.g., T-SQL, Python, PowerShell, etc. Location Based in Aviation House, Phillip, ACT the Resource must work (on average) 8 hours per day (40 hours per week) between the core hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
