Overview and Responsibilities

It is expected that the Contractor will be;
•Someone with good practical/demonstrated network experience across a broad range of the network domain
•Pragmatic Commonwealth Security Experience – The network team are in the middle of most security accreditation/incidents/responses
•Experienced with multivendor environments
•Strong ITIL experience when it comes to the technical domain elements of Change / Incident / Capacity / Performance / Problem
•Managing Small Technical Team responsible for 24x7 support to National Critical Infrastructure
•Developing and fostering high achieving team in a good knowledge sharing environment
•Able to ensure that the Network Tower is able to meet ACIC current and future business requirements.
•Superior Engagement skills to ensure we have cohesive engagement with internal and external stakeholders
•Ideally exposure to Commonwealth Procurement Technical Experience ACIC is looking for a Team Leader for the Network Team The ACIC Network team is responsible for:
•Supporting network equipment from HP, CISCO, Fortigate, Palo Alto and F5
•Network Security
•Virtualised network products
•Azure Cloud Networking
•LAN, MAN and WAN environments
•Carrier circuits
•Physical connectivity troubleshooting
•Facilities management
•Voice and Video Responsibilities
•Providing direction, guidance and supervision to the small technical network team.
•Providing leadership in respect to Service Request, Change, Incident, Capacity & Performance and Problem management for the team.
•Ensuring that current and future Business Requirements are being met by the team
•Establishing and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external parties, including senior stakeholders
•Developing and fostering technical capability within the team.
•Ensuring the currency and maintainability of the ACIC network fleet. The Contractor will be expected to:
•Hold and maintain an Australian Government security clearance to the minimum of Negative Vetting Level 1. The cost of obtaining each security clearance and other related costs including the cost for re-validating the security clearance will be borne by the Seller. The Seller must ensure that its Specified Personnel promptly provide to the Buyer relevant details to assist with the security clearance process, and the Seller must notify the Buyer promptly in writing of any change in circumstances which is likely to affect the Buyer’s assessment of the Specified Personnel’s entitlement to hold a security clearance.
•comply with all Agency Policies which are available on request, and through the Agency intranet site. This includes policies which relate to drug and alcohol testing.
•undertake and pass a pre-employment screening process (Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA)) which includes a police check.
•comply with the requirements of the Continuing Organisational Suitability Assessment (COSA)
•As directed by the Agency, complete a Deed of Confidentiality or Non-Disclosure Agreement prior to commencement or comply with processes required to engage the Specified Personnel under section 48 of the Australian Crime Commission Act (2002).
•Must be COVID vaccinated
•undertake an induction program upon commencement.
•Undergo Agency training prior to commencing work if required: oWork, Health and Safety training; and oSecurity Awareness training
•Complete the work on the Agency Premises, or as otherwise directed by the Agency.
