About the team The CIO Group is an exciting, fast-paced team that drives the digital agenda for the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources. The Group leads the department’s digital agenda by partnering with our stakeholders to co-design digital experiences, making it simpler to innovate, collaborate and communicate, and continue to evolve digital services using leading edge technology and smart design. The Digital Modernisation Program is a strategic CIO Group led program that aims to modernise our ICT tools and services and provide a consistent foundation to enable the department to conduct its business. This means we're looking at ways to:
•Improve flexibility in our ICT environment, to meet future needs
•Reduce dependency on legacy infrastructure
•Simplify our environment for improved management
•Improve cost predictability for decision making Our ideal candidate Candidates must:
•be comfortable in a dynamic fast-paced environment
•have strong interpersonal skills and experience with stakeholder engagement
•be adaptable and confident in coordinating a multitude of different tasks and projects simultaneously
•have proven ability to show initiative and problem solve
•be flexible and willing to collaborate in the team and across other teams
•demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
•ICT project management experience
•have a sound understanding of ICT concepts and an ability to learn new technologies. Desirable:
•Agile project management experience
•Experience working on azure technology or cloud transformation projects What you will do
