Overview

The Australian Communications and Media Authority is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to assist with the development of a wide range of software applications. The Applications Development and Support section supports a wide range of software applications utilising different technologies. The application services currently supported and delivered by the section are predominately underpinned by Microsoft Dynamics CRM (on-premise), Intelledox Infiniti, and the .Net framework with some residual bespoke legacy applications in the environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the overall quality of applications and services by improving regression test coverage for existing applications, and operating across the testing lifecycle for new solutions, and enhancements to existing systems.

Responsibilities

- Plan, design and execute testing activities to ensure the quality of services

- Manage the resolution of defects identified during system and user acceptance testing

- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing with business stakeholders

- Document all testing related activities in accordance with ACMA practices

- Undertake other relevant duties, as guided by the team lead or section manager

Essential Criteria

Demonstrated Technical skills and knowledge:

- Test planning and management

- Test design and execution

- Defect management

- User Acceptance Testing

- Test summary reporting

 

Demonstrated General skills and experience:

- High level analytical and problem solving

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to self-manage, be proactive and demonstrate initiative

Desired Criteria

Desirable qualifications:

- ISTQB Foundation

- ISTQB Advanced
