Overview and Responsibilities

The Division provides a range of enabling services and operations delivery to the department and to Australian businesses.

CIO Group are seeking up to three experienced and motivated Business Analysts to assist across the Department in three teams: the Digital Business Tool Project, CRM Capability team and the Strategy area.

Essential Criteria

  1. Technical competence:
    • Experience developing business scenarios, process maps, data models and use cases
    • Experience developing high level and detailed design documents
    • Experience in developing User Stories and acceptance criteria for developers
    • Experience working on complex digital projects in an Agile environment
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  2. Cultural fit:
    • Work collaboratively as a team within the organisation to deliver quality outcomes
    • Communicate honestly, clearly, proactively and consistently
    • The ability to pragmatically change direction and scope as new information is discovered and challenges or opportunities present themselves
    • Ability to work with geographically dispersed teams
  3. Experience in delivering under an agile methodology, or proven ability to quickly adapt to and successfully deliver outcomes in a new methodology
  4. Facilitate workshops, including those to identify business needs, monitor and collate data and identify competing demands
  5. Elicit and document the detailed IT business requirements including those that specify the changes to processes, systems, people and information
  6. Capture and analysis of data related requirements & produce deliverables in accordance with the project schedule
  7. Achieve agreement and the formal sign-off of requirements by stakeholders and governance groups as required
  8. Construct documentation to support the requirements definition, eg requirements specifications, process maps, service design artefacts, functional and non-functional requirements, change management implications, data and reporting considerations
  9. Conduct stakeholder engagement activities to develop the requirements and desired outcomes

Desired Criteria

Relevant experience in one or more of the following:

  1. Cloud technologies
  2. CRM and MS Dynamics 365
  3. Strategic level thinking

Must have current baseline clearance
