Overview and Responsibilities

The EL2 Director Strategic and Operational Reporting is accountable under broad direction to undertake work with a high level of complexity or sensitivity that delivers quality outcomes across the risk functions of the NDIA. The position is an important team leadership position within the NDIA and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across wide-ranging activities of substantial depth involving significant detail. It will provide the leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for the team membership and assigned Contractors working within the work area. The EL2 Director Strategic and Operational Reporting is responsible for initiating, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. It may be required to represent and negotiate on behalf of the NDIA to advance the NDIA’s interests in cross-agency and other forums. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
•Overseeing the design and implementation of a fraud and compliance performance reporting framework, including performance monitoring and reporting and escalation thresholds.
•Establishing reporting dashboards and templates to provide data for CRO Division reporting cadence.
•Developing reporting collateral including templates, dashboards, updates and responses required to respond to various reporting requirements.
•Analysing and incorporating data into designated ongoing performance and operational reports.
•Preparing and presenting briefs and reports that draw on evidence-based analysis for a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including the Executive and the Board’s committees. (NOTE: the key responsibilities of the role are based on current priorities and may change over time)

Essential Criteria

1. Have seven years’ plus experience in similar roles
2. Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and clear and concise communication skills.
3. Ability to analyses and present complex information
4. Advanced Excel, Visio and Power point skills

1. Tertiary qualifications (desirable)

Security Clearance

Baseline Clearance or the ability to obtain. Pre-engagement Checks will be undertaken by NDIA and commencement is subject to the Specified Personnel meeting the standard in relation to the Pre-Engagement Check requirements. The Contractor must comply with and ensure ongoing compliance with the Pre-Engagement Checks.
