Background The project is delivering an Enterprise Product (Enterprise Contact Centre) to be used for all Contact Centres, initially targeting the Digital Services Contact Centre (DSCC). Position Description Candidates will need to meet the following minimum job requirements: The role: The Software Tester will be required to undertake test preparation and execution across a range of departmental software and corporate applications. The work includes creating test cases and scenarios, maintaining defects and issues registers, and drafting test reports and managing defect triage and resolution. Testers are required to work as an effective and contributing member of a project team within a fast-paced and dynamic ICT environment. Some flexible working arrangements will apply in line with local covid-restrictions. The role is located in Canberra. The person: Will have demonstrated experience as a software tester working collaboratively with teams on delivering major IT projects. To be considered for this role you will have:
•Minimum of three years experience in testing software and applications to test behaviour, functionality and integrity
•Understanding of high-level IT infrastructure
•Proven experience in creating comprehensive test artefacts including Test Plans, Test Cases, Defects, and Test Reports
•Experience in using Test Management tools such as TFS or Azure DevOps
•Highly effective people, communication and time management skills
•Experience in testing practices, techniques and strategies involved in both the waterfall and agile Software Lifecycle methodologies.
•Ability to deliver high quality testing services with minimum supervision
•Manage/oversee/Conduct UAT planning, preparation, execution
•Establish Business test strategy
•Finalise test outcomes
•Coordinate testing efforts with development teams/vendors with defects fix, retesting, release management
•Finalise testing outcomes with Test summary report and UAT signoff
•Provide walkthroughs of business test plans
•Experience with guiding UAT
•Experience in functional testing, integration, regression, API, security testing
•Experience in Government

•Experience preferred with Contact Centres, Telephony Systems, Genesys, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Please note that the team is largely working remotely for the foreseeable future. This presents a challenge for engaging with stakeholders that a successful candidate will have to navigate. The suitable candidate may initially be required to work remotely, in the longer term onsite, as part of the team at the DESE. The successful candidate will attend and actively participate in project planning events as required. And deliver work in a self-managing multi-disciplined team environment. A condition of engagement is that proposed personnel have the required resources to work remotely. Additional expenses incurred by Supplier-proposed personnel will not be accepted by the Buyer.
