Overview and Responsibilities

CASA is seeking to fill multiple positions for a large Cloud Services initiative that will transform the way CASA develops and delivers services to its clients, both internal and external. Separated into two major tranches you’ll have the opportunity to work across several key Information Technology service delivery areas contributing to enhancing and implementing leading edge technologies as CASA transitions to a full Cloud Services offering over the next few years. You’ll be working on uplift and transition of existing ICT capabilities to align with CASA’s Cloud first approach and building and deploying of the new Cloud only environment will see you working across complex technical issues and contributing to the realisation of strategic outcomes as part of the program. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and have the ability to communicate effectively and manage relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including team members, product owners, project managers, and executives. You will also have experience working in both Agile and Waterfall projects and ideally have experience with to deliver design and research activities, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to exercise initiative and sound judgement as part of a large program of work. As part of the data warehouse team, reporting to the Section Manager Business Intelligence, the data visualiser and analyst will be responsible for: 1.Turning complex data into clear information through various types of visuals and reporting mediums 2.Interpreting requirements of business partners and executives to create fit for purpose reporting products 3.providing actionable insights and analysis to inform business and executive decision makers. Mandatory experience a)understanding data models b)building, querying, testing and validating datasets c)drawing from different data sources and queries to produce visual outputs d)being proficient in building visualisations and dashboards using Power BI e)developing data visualisations based on strategic requirements f)experience in using SQL, programming languages such as Python or R. g)have strong attention to detail and accuracy Desirable experience a)Experience in SQL scripting using tools such SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) or SQL Developer. b)Develop and test reports, dashboards and Business Intelligence solutions based on specifications. c)Knowledge of Microsoft Azure technologies, Informatica Power Center and Microsoft Power BI tools. d)SQL Server and Oracle knowledge. Location Based in Aviation House, Phillip, ACT the Resource must work (on average) 8 hours per day (40 hours per week) between the core hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
