Overview and Responsibilities
As the Messaging Specialist, you will maintain current knowledge and experience across the following technologies:
•Microsoft Technologies including:
oMicrosoft 365
oExchange
oAzure
oActive Directory and
oAzure Active Directory
•Provide 3rd level support for all Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online related issues.
•Design and configure business components according to agreed business needs, such as Exchange Online and supporting Microsoft 365 and cloud services.
•Create and maintain a contemporary Modern Workplace environment and improve user experience.
•Mentoring the Messaging team to develop their Microsoft 365 support and maintenance skills.
•Maintain the Governance and Security Model for the platform.
•User and support staff documentation.
As the Messaging Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:
•Provide specialised technical expertise and recommendations on Microsoft 365 products and services.
•Provide 3rd level support for all Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online related issues.
•Design and configure business components according to agreed business need, such as Exchange Online and supporting Microsoft 365 and cloud services.
•Create and maintain a contemporary Modern Workplace environment improve end user experience.
•Mentoring the IT team to develop their Microsoft 365 support and maintenance skills.
•Documenting and running changes (start to finish) under the ITIL framework.
•Updating and maintaining the Department’s documentation and management tools.
Essential Criteria
1. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a technical operations role as a Messaging specialist.
2. Demonstrated experience in producing and reviewing technical and design documentation.
3. Demonstrated experience in managing complex secure environments.
4. Strong experience in implementing IT solutions for large, highly integrated government agencies or private organisations.
Desired Criteria
1. Management and administration of Microsoft Exchange 2016 and Exchange online
2. Extensive PowerShell skills including development of ground-up scripting across Exchange, Active Directory and other Microsoft 365 services
3. Experience with migration paths from on-prem solutions to Microsoft 365
4. Microsoft and ITIL certifications are highly regarded
