Overview

We are after an accomplished IT professional for a key production support role. The successful person will be responsible for supporting all aspects of software life cycle. Including implementing, maintaining and enhancing a number of production level business systems in the department. This role is required to ensure timely and professional support and maintenance of new and existing applications with some project work.

 

 

Responsibilities

We are after an accomplished IT professional for a key production support role.

They will require skills in:  

  • stakeholder engagement and support,  
  • technical project coordination  
  • software development  
  • requirements analysis  
  • technical documentation

The ideal candidate will be a tenacious problem-solver with experience in mostly Microsoft technologies and ability to adapt to supporting new products and environments, with the drive to learn new skills as required. In addition to strong technical abilities, the positon requires highly developed communication skills evidenced in team interaction, creation of technical documentation and problem/solution describing commentaries.

We are looking for an individual who will be able to contribute at team and leadership levels, has a customer focus, being able to engage and influence naturally to ensure desired outcomes are reached. The ability to prioritise effectively is essential. They will need to be approachable and able to work closely with stakeholders, members of multi-functional delivery teams, change management, project managers and vendors during scheduled releases and urgent system outages. Exceptional interpersonal skills are a must allowing them to gain the trust and respect of management, colleagues and clients through strong personal behaviours and standards, work ethics and professional outlook. Experience or knowledge of server operations, database management and experience in government ICT work environments would be highly desirable. The opportunity will best suit an individual with who enjoys a fast paced changing work environment and has strong desire to develop and expand their technical skill set to meet the demands of this varied and dynamic role.

Essential Criteria

  1. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with all stakeholders.
  2. Proven, ability to co-ordinate across multiple technical teams and deliver on outcomes
  3. Demonstrable problem solving ability
  4. Production support experience with a diverse tech stack.

Desired Criteria

  1. Technical leadership experience
  2. Server Operations and database management experience
  3. Skills in: -ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL, VBA, MS Access Azure, Logic Apps, Python,

Security Clearance

Must have current baseline clearance

Extension

2 x 12 months
