The Department of Education, Skills and Employment is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to assist with a number of technical Projects.


  1. Lead projects to successful delivery and outcomes
  2. Evaluate complex situations using diverse sources of information
  3. Lead, monitor, and motivate different teams across the Department and interact with staff at all levels including SES
  4. Create and manage methods of management, communication plans, and processes
  5. Analyse, plan, and develop procedures and other management and technical duties
  6. Define the scope of the project, roles, and responsibilities along with various stakeholders
  7. Participate in the allocation of budget, staff and any other resource(s) that are needed to accomplish or achieve set out goals (projects), and also monitor the performance of every project
  8. Maintain correct project time frames, estimates, and status reports
  9. Responsible for the management of complex problems and development of processes for scheduling and administration
  10. Make sure that all required projects are completed and reviewed
  11. Responsible for identifying, clarifying, and communicating the vision(s) and/or objective(s) of projects and show how they fall in place with, enhance, or inhibits such vision(s) and/or objective(s)
  12. Provide process improvement recommendations that are based on best practices and industry standards.

Essential Criteria

  1. Must have current negative vetting level 1 clearance
  2. Solid knowledge of relevant technology concepts (e.g. Network/ Gateway , Client-server, relational databases, and Cloud web-based architectures including Azure and AWS platform /service/ solution offerings and security requirements)
  3. Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant IT Infrastructure Enterprise Solutions
  4. Able to adapt to changing environment and outcome focused
  5. Good interpersonal skills so as to be able to relate with people or personnel from different units of the company
  6. Good and effective communication and leadership skills
  7. Good interpersonal skills so as to be able to relate with people or personnel from different units of the company
  8. Must have Project Management Certification

Desired Criteria

  1. 3 years + experience in managing complex Infrastructure projects
  2. 3 years + of relevant working experience in a project management setting
  3. Other certification would be beneficial
  4. Previous experience in Government agency is highly desired
