Overview and Responsibilities
As the Wintel Specialist, you will maintain current knowledge and experience across the following technologies:
•Microsoft Technologies including:
oAzure Devops
oADFS
oActive Directory & Azure Active Directory
oWindows Server 2008 and above
•A high-level of understanding of networking & DNS
•Platform and server migrations to Hyper Converged Infrastructure and the Cloud
•A good understanding of enterprise networking
•Essential 8 security
•Cloud-based Software, Platform, and Infrastructure service offerings including container services
•Monitoring platforms such as SCOM, Splunk, Application Insights.
As the Wintel Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:
•Providing Level 3 Wintel experience for the department’s BAU activities
•Configuration, administration and migration plus on-going support of multiple Microsoft Windows, Azure, VMWare & O365 environments
•Proactive monitoring, issue resolution & request management via the ticketing system
•Development & maintenance of process automation
•Looking after our customers' needs and delivering quality outcomes
Essential Criteria
1. A minimum 3 years’ experience in a technical operations role as a Wintel specialist.
2. Demonstrated experience in producing and reviewing technical and design documentation
3. Demonstrated experience in managing complex and secure environments.
4. Strong commercial Microsoft infrastructure deployment & operational support experience;
5. Strong scripting skills to support automation efforts (PowerShell);
Desired Criteria
1. Proven success managing enterprise scale Citrix & VMWare environments
2. Strong AD/LDAP and ADFS skills;
3. Thorough understanding of Cloud Computing: virtualization technologies, Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service & Software as a Service;
4. Hands on experience with Exchange, Teams, SCOM and PowerShell;

Contract Extensions
2 x up to 12 months options to extend
